We use lasers to cut the designs in mother of pearl and abalone

Above you can see the laser cuts between the Shamrocks. The Shamrocks are from Green Abalone Shells
and the White background they are on is from White Oyster Shells.

  Here, the sound hole pattern is also cut with a laser by friends who used to work for NASA over at the Kennedy Space Center.
 

Here is a guilar with no sound hole. It prevents acoustic feedback when used with an amplifirer
