My address is now lyman@duggan-family.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- From: TDugan3643 To: LYMAN DUGG Dear Lyman. Just found the following information: My father (Albert Corey Dugan) was born Nov. 27 1904 in Diluth, Minnesota to Albert J. Dugan and Helen Inez (Munson) Dugan. He was married Aug. 30 1930 to Gladys Rose Dugan (maiden name unknown) - One child - Dixie Lee Dugan born Oct 7, 1935 in San Diego, Ca. Divorced Gladys in May 1938. Married Florence M. Dugan ( no maiden name) in Yuma, Az. on Aug. 30, 1942 - One child - Michael Albert Dugan born Aug. 24, 1943. Divorced Florence 25 Feb. 1946. Married Marion Helen Mitsky on ???? - Two Children -Terry Lee Dugan (Me) born mar. 31, 1947 in San Diego and Mary Patricia Dugan born Mar. 3, 1953 in Spokane, Wa. He died Aug. 21 1959 in Portland, Or. I am in contact with Mary however not with any of the others as I did not know of their existence untill my mothers death in 1979 and only now with the help of this marvelous machine have I hoped to find them. Thank you again for starting this - it has also sparked a renewed interest in tracing family origin. Thats enough for now, Thanks again, my "sister" and I appreciate it. Terry Dugan ......................... Dear Terry, (and sister) Thats really great!...but dont stop now....when I get my printer working I will be able to put your tree together with the information that you gave me and I know it will encorage you to dig some more. This can be a lot of fun you know. Its sort of like a treasure hunt where every new piece of data is a thrill to find. I started about 3 years ago and now I have about 2400 relatives on file (most by far are alive now). I would really get a bang out of seeing how you and I are related. We will probably have to go back to Ireland to see that. Im also doing this for my family and I'm so sorry that I wasnt interested when all my aunts and uncles were alive because its really difficult now to find what I would simply have to ask for years ago. My Mom could have told me a lot but I wasn't interested when I was younger. I took it for granted that this information would always be at hand. Hope to hear from you again real soon! lyman ....................................................................... .. From: DUGI1 To: LYMAN DUGG I'm new to this Duggan thing. I have in the past received several offers for the Book of Duggans but paid little attention as do most people getting junk mail. But by the look of it there seems to be more than a few. I'm originally from Cambridge Ma. But living here in Rapid City South Dakota. I work as a computer specialist and have access to dozens of Doctors computers. I constantly check them for Duggans but have found NONE. I would be interested in keeping my name on you news letter listing and appreciate your efforts. Keep up the good work. John Duggan, 222 E. Van Buren St Rapid City, SD 57701-1057 ......................................... Dear John, Thanks for your mail. We are all happy to hear from you. Most of us have a John Duggan in our Family. Just give us all that you can. I hope that you can share some of your family data with us for the next newsletter. We are all looking forward to your good news yer cuz..............................lyman ....................................................................... From: Judgeman To: LYMAN DUGG Hello! Cerritos is about 40 minutes away from Los Angeles. There is about three generations of Dugans here in Ca, my grandmother, my father and his two brothers and me and my brother and about 5 cousins. All I know about my Ohio roots is that my grandmother came to Ca in about 1945. Besides that I really don't have that much info on anyone else who is still living there. My line of Dugan's came over from Ireland in the late 1800's and settled briefly in New York before moving on to Ohio. I'll get back to you as I remember more dates and places. As you can see I donŠt have much, I left out most of the 4,5,and 6 generations because the ones I have follow the Zimmerman line. We donŠt know any more than what you see here as far as the DuganŠs go. We do know Erastus Dugan was born in Troy, OH and died in Harding, KS (this is where he spent the bulk of his life.) The only reason we knew of Erastus or his father is because my mother has a will that Erastus wrote a couple months before he died listing all his heirs. I hope someone out there in Dugan land can help me fill in the blanks ! Deb McNelly ....................................................................... .. We're glad that you are enjoying your new family....Can you tell us about your Duggans for the next Newsletter?...............cousin lyman. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: 73741.470@compuserve.com (Joanne M. Gonsalves) To: LymanDugg@aol.com (Lyman Duggan) Lyman, I got your address from Compuserve from Donna Lounsbury in a message to "ALL". Hope this is the right one. I don't use Internet Addresses too often and never know where to put the word "Internet". I am interested in exchanging information and getting a copy of the Duggan Newsletter. My husband - David Duggan Gonsalves - is named after his gr grandfather, David Duggan, who married Margaret Curran on Jersey Island, 18 Apr 1864. They imigrated to this country, settled in New Hampshire and had eight children, the first of whom was my husband's grandmother, Mary Ellen Duggan, who married Fredrick Nolan from Winchendon, MA. I have not been able to get further back than David and Margaret, and would appreciate any information. I have info on all 8 Duggans from David and Margaret if it would be of any help to anyone. Joanne in Denver ............................................. another letter from Joanne Lyman, I am just amazed at the response to the newsletter. It seems that there should be an easier way to get out the newsletter. Does AOL not have a library system like Compuserve that you can upload to? I would like to include for the newsletter the information I have on the 8 Duggans born to David Duggan and Margaret Curran. My brother-in-law informs me that David came from Waterford, Ireland, and was born on 12 Dec 1868. David and Margaret immigrated to this country some time between their 6th child's birth and their 7th child's birth. 1878-1880. Children: 1. Mary Ellen Duggan -........ b. 12 Dec 1868 - m.
